Rocket Engineering Corp. recently announced that it is halfway through the supplemental type certification (STC) process for its Turbine Pressurized/Baron and expects certification in about a year. Right now, the company is preparing to install the Pratt & Whitney PT6A engines on the aircraft. The Turbine P/Baron is expected to have a top speed of 305 knots and have an initial climb rate of 4,500 fpm.
