Now Debbie Reynolds Hospitalized!

A broken heart. Poor gal :(

Debbie's heart break was of course much worse, but my heart aches as well. To me, Carrie Fisher was a bright spot in the celebrity cesspool. IMO, she was no where near done providing us with wit, charm, humor and a good fork in the eye of Hollywood and the world in general. Princess Leia will live on for sure, but I will miss Carrie Fisher.

Her mother's passing the day after Carrie Fishers' is one of the cases I believe to be "died of a broken heart." Very sad for the family. Carrie Fisher was definitely an icon. Nice looking gal too. RIP to both :(

They were both hotties and heartthrobs when they were young, but in the case of Carrie, her true beauty wasn't known to me until she was much, much older than her Leia in metal bikini days. Her true beauty was in her mind.

In the case of Debbie, I don't know much about her other than what I've seen in her movies. I empathize with her heartbreak though.

You know, I have heard of a celebrity death pool, and though I am not really sure what it is, it seems like the house is losing in 2016.

Feel sorry for Billie Lourd, 2 family members in 2 days

Sad.... Can Christmas ever be the same for the family.?

My childhood best friend died a few days before Christmas in a car accident. On the ten year anniversary, his only other sibling, a brother, OD'd. I always wonder how their parents keep going, especially around the holidays.

It definitely kills the holiday spirit. I lost both parents in the two weeks before Christmas a few years back (unrelated events, and they were in their 90s), so I can somewhat relate. But we survive and learn to get through the holidays - most of us do anyway.

BTW I believe it is documented that the risk of severe illness or death is much greater in the aftermath of losing a loved one, so what happened to Debbie Reynolds is not that unusual. Much eerier when it happens when one goes not knowing that the other just died, as in my parents' case.
