The biggest negative of the obama drones killing people, policy, is the lack of proof clause. The gov't feels no need to be able prove the dead US citizen actually did anything, before they kill him.

Agreed. All they have to do is classify the whole thing, and nobody's the wiser.

I doubt there was any hanky-panky with the guy they offed. He did sound like a pretty bad man. But oh what a dangerous precedent they started. And the rationale they gave to Congress sounded like "the President can do whatever he wants whenever he wants to whoever he wants". Congress really needs to take the government back.

I was listening to the radio, yesterday and commentary about the Brennan hearing, when the commentator mentioned that Mr. Brennan agrees that the government doesn't have a proof standard when issuing kill orders, they just seem to be able to do it.

I must agree wholeheartedly. Thus we must now rely on the honesty and forthrightness of our government officials to make certain they only target the bad people. Problem is we've been down this road before a sufficient number of times to know it doesn't work.

For two hundred years our government was not involved in assassination, at least not overtly. Now it is. Count on unintended consequences, there always are some. I really thought Obama was smart enough not to go down this very dangerous path.

And............ These are the same clowns who said Waterboarding is inhumane and torture, and yet they seem ok with blowing the guts of this guy all over a 100 yard radius.... .


Don't get me wrong..... this guy needed to be smoked. but the doubletalk is sickening....:eek::mad:

My eyes are fine. Everyone in the country that person was occupying needs to be removed from the planet. Or do you propose we just go over there and hold hands and sing kumba yah ?
By the way how much time have you spent in Pakistan ?

Two weeks later with another drone strike we killed his 16 year old american son, the excuse, he had a bad father.
we are currently hunting Dorner in cali with drones, first drone strike by america on american soil against an american is coming soon.
 
The moment a drone is used to kill an American Citizen on US soil, I would hope the person(s) responsible for issuing the order would be indicted for conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
The second this line gets crossed, the country is lost, unless those responsible are indicted, convicted and incarcerated.
Tina Brown, on one of the weekend shows said that if G.W. Bush had used the exact same policy regarding drones, he would already have been impeached.
