Notifications won't turn off

I don't want an e-mail every time someone replies to a thread I have posted in. I changed my preferences to NOT receive notifications but I am still getting them. How do I fix that?

That preference changes for all threads moving forward. But it doesn't change the threads that you're already watching. As soon as those die down (or you unwatch them), you'll no longer get emails.
