Great stuff! Thanks for posting. The whole TSO thing is a big reason I went Experimental.
 
When I read the article I kept thinking of Ameri-King and how they chose to illegally sell non-compliant equipment as certified equipment. Having a requirement that it be certified didn't prevent that from happening, but it provided the Feds with grounds to make them stop. Without the certification requirement they would still be in business selling substandard (read potentially dangerous) equipment to pilots who don't have the information to know better.

So we can complain all we want, but until companies voluntarily do the right things, they are going to need regulation. Considering human nature, that will probably be the first of never.
