Northeast Routing

For those who fly pistons in the northeast corridor... V16 between RIC and JFK (a standard routing) is gone! I came across it while planning a flight next month.

And no, it's not a charting or EFB error. It is one of several airway segments which were removed effective yesterday. I'm a bit curious if there was any advance notification in the area as part of the rulemaking process.

(There is a T-Route that covers most of it)

Interesting. Looks like V16 picks up at Dover. I wonder if V16 was conflicting with certain arrivals into BWI, ADW or DCA, as it seems the T routes do some mild snaking around. I’m flying through that area tomorrow, if the frequency is quiet I might ask Potomac if they know what’s up.
