NORTH EAST FLYERS

For those of you who made the April 08 "No Guts No Glory" lunch run and vintage aircraft tour over at Millville, NJ I ask that you please keep Terry in your thoughts and prayers. He was the pilot that gave us the tour and history of all the vintage aircraft in the hangar that day.

UPDATE: PILOT OF MILLVILLE CRASH ID'ED
A vintage plane that caught fire while it was in the air safely landed Saturday afternoon at the Millville airport. DRBA Spokesman Jim Salmon says the pilot, Terry Rush, of Cherry Hill, suffered burns in the incident. He was airlifted to the Cooper Health Systems in Camden, then taken to the Chester Crozier Burn Center in Pennsylvania. Rush remains listed in critical, but stable condition. The fire started on board the vintage plane around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon. When Rush landed the plane, it burst into flames and was destroyed. Rush was the only person involved in the accident and no one else was hurt on the ground as a result.

We're out for this weekend. I was told I needed to move my surgery date up to this thursday but I refused. I'm going to complete my instrument rating first, come hell or high water. I made it 22 years with the metal parts I have so I can hang on until April. I'm flying 3 hours thursday, saturday and sunday in hopes of a mock check ride next week followed by the real deal. I hope everyone has a great time and a safe flight to/from.

This sounds fun. Count me and my wife in :)
Can always hit the casinos on the way home. Bonus!

Sunday is out for me as well! Will be flying from 10-2.. Have fun!
