FWIW I was at Sky Acres today for the $200 omelet. All please note there were signs posted that the restaurant will be closed Feb 6,7, and 8. -Skip

Hey Guys,

I am going to need a generous soul who can give me a ride back to KHPN. My airplane goes into annual with Tom White right there at Sky Acres on Monday the 23rd and I plan to drop it by Tom's hangar on Saturday.

Gary, I'm putting Beth and I down. We may be down yonder in Virginia but just in case we can, we'll make it. Aeroflex Andover (12N) is close by if ya'll haven't stopped in there before. Its like landing on an aircraft carrier with water surrounding a short runway. Very Cool!

Do you want name tags printed?
Are we the only group flying into Skyacres that day for lunch?
If Skyacres should not work out, a back-up location? (Barnes, MA maybe)

Andy,

I made the call to the The Perfect Landing Cafe' and gave them a head count of 22 for lunch. I agreed to call back wednesday (2/18) with a final count, wx permitting of course.

We usually get along without the tags, pretty informal. Heck if I can't remember a name I always ask or Mary keeps me squared away. If you want to provide the tags, great! I'm sure folks would appreciate them. It will be tough to see my name tag, it's written on my shirt labels so I remember who I am :smilewinkgrin: ...now if Mary only explains why our address is there but crossed out and some strange address is written in......hmmmm.....:rolleyes:

We're gonna fly up to Hartford on Friday Night and then Saturday meet up with ya'll for lunch. I'm thinking they are gonna make me go via DIXIE intersection (SW of JFK) to join the airway but we'll see. It's a fun flight over JFK and they usually take us over at 7000 and back at 6000. See you Saturday! I'll bring the camera and put all of ya'll on the blog for sure!

That's pretty much the route the gave me last time heading back to MA from Wings.
Something like ARD V276 Dixie V229 all the way up to HFD.

Hey Gary, Good to see you and Mary again as well as all the new faces. Great food, WX and can't beat Skyacres. It was a turbulent, slow ride up but a fast, smooth trip home: 168KTS, 5500'. Thanks for posting and see you at the next one!
