I have succeed with the Nitro Reader 3 a PDF reader software on my PC, I use the PrimoPDF.exe from Nitro to convert the tif files for sectionals that the government has, to mount on my Nook Color, stock 8GB unit, with the Quick Office Lite that came with it. The Sec. files are big up to 45MB, and the Plates from Chart Bundle are up to 140MB for say SE4. I use the full size PDF that Chart Bundle has. I think the DPI is 4000 or 6000, for the SEC. and the files size is close to the size of the tif fromhttp://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/VFR/chartlist_sect It requires to "Clear Default Launcher" when a big files needs to be switched out of, and sometimes to re-boot to clear the out of memory situation. It certainly could be smoother but it does work, and the futures holds a Rooting now that I know the display will handle what I need. I just got a really cheap small easy to hold EFB .....just what I was looking for.

I just found that hitting the arrow back at the bottom in Quick Office lite, and I can load the next sectional, it apparently clears the memory, now works better than I thought.
