None of us fly

BTDT. BASE is human flight I haven't found anything that compares. Just don't add up the cost per hour.

BASE jumpers pilot their bodies. If operating a plane is flying then paddling a canoe must be swimming.

Deploying a parachute is just a configuration change same as flaps and gear. Go jump off a cliff or resign yourself to never having experienced true human flight.:raspberry:
If BASE jumpers were flying they wouldn't need parachutes. They fall. They may do so with panache, but they fall.

I disagree.
When you jump you get "pushed around" by gravity. You can't really turn or fly around.
Wingsuit would be an exception but you don't really do base jumping with one.

My flight experience and passion is about the joy of flying, not the adrenillenhoweveritisspelled rush of falling.

Ah so you've never experienced true human flight. Give real flight a chance it is quite calm and peaceful.
