Anyone aware of a non-Mode S transponder that is a drop-in replacement for a Garmin GTX-330?

Why do you want non mode-S?

Where are you flying? In the US, non ADSB planes have limited traveling value. Just wondering.

PIA is also an option…

There us no drop-in replacement for the 330, but it wouldn’t be hard to convert to a 327.

Thanks Jesse. That is what I suspected but had to ask. The 327 is shorter and would require swapping out the tray.

To those who wonder why I want a non-Mode S xpndr, I have a UAT ADS-B Out that is Anonymous mode capable, eg, doesn’t display the N-number when squawking 1200 if there is no Mode S. I would prefer not to broadcast my N when I am VFR. Call me anti-social.

Yep, PIA is for 1090 only, and it’s only usable in US airspace.

Also, if someone wants to track you enough, they can figure out your PIA code if they know anything about any of your itineraries. It’s not foolproof, but it helps.
