Once I get it, I will be storing my disassembled non-flying biplane for probably the better part of a year before it's (and I am) ready to fly.

I asked for a quote from my current insurer (non-owned, renters/student insurance) and they require liability on it. Which is far, far more than then part of the policy that covers the plane itself from damage.

All I want, for this non-flying time, is to cover the plane against damage. I.e the hangar burns, snow collapses it, etc. That's it.

Why can't I seem to find this anyplace? Am I asking for the wrong thing or calling the wrong places?

Wouldn't the hangar insurance cover it as contents?

Ajc is the place to go. Jenny does all the policies for the rv guys, she handles my policies. Great to work with, she will get you the best price around.

My Cub project is insured by Avemco for a small fraction of what a flying airplane costs.
