Living in Midwest Michigan is driving me a little crazy. :mad2::yikes::mad2:

Don't get me wrong I still fly every week but planning cross country trips for business/family with this odd weather this year leaves me flying commercial more than my own airplane and having a case of the blues.:confused::confused:

I just purchased commercial from Michigan to Boston next week for us since we only have a one day window on the front end and two day window on the return for our trip....

The other week we navigated to missouri through nasty front only to get iced up both down there and back and one was even a VFR flight. Plus we got delayed by three days cause my home airport is in an area that gets pounded with lake effect snow and was LIFR for 2 days straignt.....:confused:

Thankfully Phil didn't see his shadow....this time:)

If you need to get there quickly, drive. The saddest thing about all this is GA aircraft are really pi$$ poor traveling machines if you're on a tight schedule. If you can be a bit flexible they're wonderful.

Depends on where you live and the commute.

Time to spare go by air, keep a credit card in your pocket ,for all the nice motels your going to visit, when weather goes down.

Now where's that photo of Ted with the ice melt when you need it...
