Standard ops.
At Twitchels in Maine. They land on wheels in the grass, roll through the shop to get their floats and then down the wooden "ways" and into the river. In the fall, the opposite, land on the river, get winched up the wood ramp to the shop, and then up the hill to the grass field and go.

Short landing roll,, er.. Slide.
Landing wheels/skis inthe spring to get the floats back on after ice out.
Who needs wheels in the spring...... Just get a snowmobile trailer.. weld on a long tongue, mount the plane, find an idiot to drive the pulltruck and... fly away...
