Night Flying is Magical

Here's some from the work plane taken somewhere over the North Atlantic.

This past week, a buddy and I flew the Seneca from Arizona to Florida. The last leg of the first day was into KNEW (New Orleans Lakefront). I snapped this on a long right base to RWY18 just after popping below an overcast deck.

My Quickest 3 night full stop landings occurred at my 4400 ft runway airport when the control tower indicated there was no traffic inbound, and that I could depart, do a 180 and land rolling to the end, and then repeat. With small magnitude winds in either direction causing minimal tailwinds, very safe and efficient.
That's how I did my 10 controlled-field night landings for my commercial as well.

Hmmm...we have an 8000 ft runway; now you have me wondering if I can do all 3 stop n goes in that length...

What's the minimum height AGL for it to count? :D

I once did 5 stop and go's in a Citabria in one pass down the runway.

It was a USAF Aero Club airplane on an 11,700 foot SAC runway. :D
