Night Flight

That is one of the most awe-inspiring videos I've ever watched.

Wonder if the 310 will make it to FL10,000. ;)

I love taking off on a cross country trip an hour or two before sunrise. It is an awesome view to watch the sun come up. One of the best things to do flying. :D

I used to launch often predawn from MIA Eastbound in a 727. It's amazing how fast that sun comes up when your doing .91M on a 100 degree course.

My best sunrise was facing West. I was coming out of Vegas heading back to Long Beach and approaching Edwards AFB talking with ATC, the sky in front of me was that early radiant violet when ATC calls, "04Y traffic at your 12 o'clock descending out of 120,000, the Space Shuttle." and there it was, glowing on its way down. "Contact traffic, not a factor, thanks for that". He even left me on course overhead Edwards. By the time I got there it was on the ground all lit up, that thing comes down FAST!

In the category of things to do in an airplane. I have watched 2 sunrises and sunsets in the same day.

Sunrise take off an hour before sunrise climb to 12,500' and wait for the sun to come up. Chop & drop to get on the ground and watch it rise again.

Sunset watch the sun set then take off and climb to 12,500'

Watch two sunrises and two sunsets in the same day. How many people can say they have done that!
