I flew up north to see the kids Saturday morning and came back today. To drive would have taken 5.5 hours and 12 gallons of gas one way. The plane took 2 hours and 8 gallons. Love the plane, love the 912 Rotax engine.

Planes are awesome! I got to spend the weekend with 2 friends in North Carolina (Asheville) just before Christmas and when it was time to go home, I was dropped off at the airport (KAVL) and ended up landing back at my home airport (in Illinois) before the other person had made it home in her car (and she lives in North Carolina). Life is pretty good sometimes.
