When we moved the RV from the basement to the garage, the few neighbors that drove by (my parents live on a culdesac), did some serious rubber-necking. When it got warm enough to keep the garage doors open, it was funny to watch people try to figure out what we were doing. Finally some of the neighborhood kids came over and asked what the heck we were doing. When we said an airplane, they said "Ohhhhh... We thought it was a boat." (Had the fuselage done but no wings attached. After that, it was funny to see the people peeking in to see how much we had done.
We got some REALLY funny looks going down the interstate when we took the plane to the body shop to have it painted.
A "it's finally done" bash sounds fun, though!
EDIT: Add pictures from the move. Did I mention it was colder than blue blazes that day!?
