Just got back. A flying friend texted me as I left work - want to go flying tonight? So off we went in a Diamond - faster than a 172 would have been! What a gorgeous night for it too...

Pre-takeoff checklist
How cool! It *was* beautiful last night, what I could see of it--I flew under the hood from FDK to LBE and back. When we got to within a few miles of the Frederick VOR, I got to take off the hood and see the pretty lights and the big full moon.
