Problem is all you save with the water care is putting your boat back on the trailer when you're done. The potential savings with the Terraflugia are somewhat greater.
 
Not sure about the terrafugia, or this water car but in my limited experience with vehicles that are meant to do two things (like flying and drving, or drving and boating, or sailing and power boating) is that it does neither real well though the video advertisements tend not to show that. I will still with my cars, boats, and plane and deal with the little amount of inconvenience when switching from one to the other.

Agreed... Plus, do you want to drive around using your "aviation" engine to run errands? Going to reach TBO pretty quick that way.

Also, what's "hull insurance" going to cost once the insurance company realizes you're driving this thing on the road?
 
Can save you a lot of money on toll bridges. And skip the bridges traffic jams. Specially in NYC. You can also get the bikinis. Try that with a flying car.

Wow..I really like that for some reason. For a promo video, I think the missed the women in the background with no shirt on. lol I had a double take moment..like ..."is that? Yup it is!" :0
