Howdy folks. I've been lurking here for a few months and finally decided to register.

I'm a student pilot who's a night XC, a checkride training flight and a checkride away from my PPL.

I flew my second solo XC yesterday in a 172SP. Flew from Lincoln, Nebraska (my home airport) to Grand Island...and then to nine other airports for full stop and go's. It was a fantastic day to fly, winds generally from the south at < 10 kts, and it was pretty cool hearing all other other air junkies out there (gliders, parachutists, and other light planes) enjoying a beautiful day.

Look forward to getting to knowing and learning from you all.

It sounds like you're very close to the ride. Best of luck, have fun and make sure you post your progress!
 
Welcome! Midwest VFR flying this time of the year is awesome - it's cool enough for even a 172 to climb like a (small) rocket, but not cold enough that you freeze your fingers off doing a preflight. ;)
