Haven’t seen comments about this before.
I just had some panel work done and it included moving my KN 64 DME around. The plastic screen (“lens”) was very worn, blistered, and faded after 40+ years so my installer suggested getting a new one from engravers.net. For $75 and after sanding the edge of the frame back to being shiny with 400 grit sandpaper the DME looks brand new.
They have some other lenses and faceplates as well.

Faceplate Inserts
Aircraft radio faceplate inserts and lenses dress up an old tired looking unit to look almost as good as new. These are designed and used for any non-US certified aircraft. These faceplates and lenses can be used in US certified if the proper FAA paperwork is completed
