Next Friday the wife and I are headed to Mexico for a couple of weeks. I get back, work two weeks at my present job, then I take another little vacation before going to work as a probation officer. I was looking at this job last May, and didn't get it. That was fine, because it was full time and I only want to work part time. I also wasn't sure that I was ready to make the change. I got a call last month, and they wanted to know if I was still interested, if the job was part time, three days a week. I took the job. I have twenty-nine years of law enforcement experience, and I speak Spanish fluently. It seems like those two qualifications are what they are looking for. Of course, I intend to keep flying, but I am not sure how I am going to keep my A&P/IA current. I guess that I'll have two weekdays and a weekend every week to work on it.

Hope you like it. The guy we rent a room from at OSH is a PO. His stories are among the funniest I've ever heard. He calls the miscreants that he keeps tabs on as his "clients." Cracks me up.

Yea, I understand that I can just attend the annual maintenance seminar and keep the IA current, but there is the matter of keeping the A&P current. I believe that you have to keep your A&P current under 65.83 in order to keep your IA under 65.92. That is what I was talking about. I'm not worried about the IA if I can keep the A&P current.
