New Cold Temp compensation Requirements

Free info from FAA.Safety.Gov. The FAA sends this stuff to anyone who provides them their e-mail address. This one is brand new and more significant than most. IFR pilots should bring the implementation wording and read it carefully. Foreflight has promised to look into including these data with their planning routine.

This new standard appears to be identical to the IFR procedure and chart currently stipulated by Transport Canada and published in Cap Gen under "Altitude Correction Chart / Cold Temperature Corrections"

Do I understand that there is a significantly different procedure in place now in the U.S.?
