Hey guys!

I made a new website and I want your help to critique it!

www.AeroAvion.com

Its a new listing site dedicated to Aircraft and im constantly adding aircraft daily from agreeing partners.

This follows the same model as Trade-a-plane & Controller.
My goal is to ultimately become another contender/Advertising agency for Aviation!

Let me know what you think, be harsh/constructive,
All advice helps me to grow!

Kind Regards,
Michael C

I like how you have it laid out and has good info showing cruise speed, useful load ect... pictures were easy to go through on phone. I didn’t look at all but might want a few more details on the avionics installed. Granted the planes you have on there pretty new but would come in handy for someone shopping for an older one

Thank you very much for taking the time! Ill work on gathering more avionics data!

Search function doesn't seem to be working. It lists the number of results that should be returned in the parentheses, but all of my searches have come up empty.

Thank you for the feedback Rich!
The search on the front page does in fact work, however, I think I have to reorganize it as its a bit too confusing.

For example, if you select Cessna as the "make" it will say (7) results, but often people forget that they are on the "single-engine" tab by default. So even though we do have (7) Cessna aircraft available on the site, we only have one Cessna that is single-engine.

You possibly selected an aircraft make that had no "single-engine" options.

However I'm glad you brought it to my attention, I think what I'll do is remove the number count from the list options so it's less deceiving!

UPDATE: FIxed ! so I've removed the numbers from the Makes so its just the number on the search tab as an indicator!
Make sure to select the right category tab first (eg. single-engine, helicopter, etc.) before selecting a make!

Good luck with the site. Mine takes lots of time and makes little money, but it is a passion. Best to you.

If you require a sale price to be included with every listing, I'll make your site my only "plane porn" shopping destination and forget ASO, Controller, and TAP.

Hi Michael,

A couple of observations: when I open the home page, it says "Multi-targeted aircraft market". Try as I might, I can't figure out why you chose to lead off with that phrase. It sounds like something that should be in your mission statement, not your marketing and certainly not the first thing a viewer sees when they surf to your site. Your site also states Avion offers a "new way to buy, sell and trade Aircraft!" How so? I get the exuberance that comes with launching a new website, but you're listing aircraft for sale, with pictures and a price. What's your product differentiator?

Recommendations: Be judicious with the use of exclamation points or (preferably) lose them altogether. As JoPa once said ""when you get into the end zone, act like you've been there before." You are marketing some serious hardware, lose the exclamation points!

On your About page you spell the word Aircraft with the leading vowel in upper case, regardless of its location in a sentence. That's distracting and here is why: there's not much unique about that particular word on a website devoted to Aircraft sales. So instead of focusing on your message and content, you have drawn my attention the question of why you chose to capitalize that word?

My .02 - worth just slightly more than what you paid for them, I wish you success in your new endeavor.

Honestly, this is probably the most insightful advice ive received ! Thank you so much for taking the time!

I chose a Multi-targeted aircraft market with an image of the floatplane more so to push the Idea that we offer many diverse types of aircraft! We target all "type" ratings so we have something for any need!
Does that rationale make sense? or is it still not the best?

You are also the second person to ask the question "whats the new way to buy, sell, and trade?" I think I should specify that more. Instead of just a listing site (like everyone else), I consider AeroAvion an Advertising/Marketing agency for brokers. Not only will I be doing listings, but I will also be developing and producing marketing campaigns for clients, Advertisements, Listing info/analytics, Video Services, Website Hosting, and Web development & Creation for Aviation.
I've been doing this for years so I figured id join my passion with my work. Offering this to clients/brokers will essentially make this a full fledged marketing site. In addition, I plan to have advertisements on the site as well!

You are right about the exclamations and capital "A" in aircraft, I think that's a bad habit from my personal life, that's generally how I text. Picked it up from a girl in college. I will fix those as well!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review it, I appreciate it!

I absolutely love this idea, I think I'll end up making this a requirement for all future posts!

I still have a bunch in the draft without prices that I promised to post, but after that, it will be a hard requirement,

This is a huge differentiator!
Thanks for this!

Are you a pilot? I'll be shocked if you say yes.

Go back to "A"irplane school. "Type Ratings" are not the same as land vs sea.

Brokers are the bane of the used market. Your plan is to help them soak aviators for more dough? Might want to a) rethink that, and b) kill any internet remnants that your marketing to them.

What exactly is ‘new and innovative’ about this site? Looks to be the same method of advertisement that other sites have been doing for years and years.

@Michael Colley -- you didn't say whether you are a pilot, and you didn't comment on my other idea that if your target audience is brokers you're barking up the wrong tree here.

Thanks Ryan for taking the time to view the site!

Regardless you are right, that is not presently clear so I will be dedicating a services page to explain, Currently working on that !
