Hey all,

I launched a new blog last month and I have finally built enough content to actually let folks know about it. It's GA oriented, but not specific to any one area. It has news, flying stories, some video, safety stuff, editorials, etc.

Let me know what you think...or blast me for spamming your community.

It's located here: http://iflyblog.com

Thanks!

Brent

I read the story about the red rag inside the tanks.

That reminded me of when I dropped my dipstick into my fuel tank, posted about it, and read somewhere that if we could all "x-ray" the wings of rental planes we would find:

dipsticks

watches

flashlights

etc.

I also thought one day I should just have an online blog to post my flights rather than a forum, but had trouble coming up with a name for a website, figuring everything was already taken. Then I thought, since a Private Pilot "license" is just a license to learn, I should call the site:

dontdropthedipstick (dot com) or something like that.

Thanks! Its fun!

I see you launched yours, looking forward to reading your posts!

Now I wonder if I need a disclaimer. I will make it like your read me first only perhaps in teeny tiny print at the bottoms of pages.

I updated mine today to look more awesome, but still need to add content and stop playing with layout. I have jotted down my thoughts for future, that seems to be good for now. Too many ideas, too little time.

I like "MISS-Adventures" for fun flights, "Project Pilot" for dual / instruction / education / etc, "Lucky Ducky" - a rubber duck I fly with.

The "photos" and "videos" etc. are ok names but I wanted it to be cute.

I just posted a comment on your site. How did those other people comment there, did you advertise or did they just find you randomly?

I've looked at both of your sites and think they look great! The red rag story WAS pretty good, and I'll keep an eye on my watch and other items as I'm checking the fuel from now on. Kimberly, I see your site has changed in the past few days and the look of the sectional in the background is a nice touch.

As a newbie and a student, I plan on keeping up on the reading from both blogs. Thanks!

Those were just random for folks that happened to read an article or follow the blog. I get lots of spam, so I had to put a filter on tonight to try and weed it out.

Your site is looking good!

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

I wrote to my hero to get advice / tips to keep things interesting but haven't heard back yet (ask Captain Scott). Last year alone he answered over 1200 emails personally. He has a site dedicated to helping pilots.

I finally got around to reading your blog.
Great work.
Thanks. Like the RV8. Is it quick, or fast?

I tried to comment on your blog (you wrote about girls with wings), and after the fifth time, gave up (captcha issues and losing what I wrote).

I don't know what on earth I did wrong, the captchas were easy but it kept saying I didn't type them.

I just added that captcha thing 'cause I was getting like 60 spam comments a day. Thanks for letting me know that. I'm going to switch plugins.
