My roommate moved out a little while ago, and since then I've been rearranging the room a bit... Of course, first thing was turning our two beds into a single king for myself, then came spreading all my stuff out, then... I noticed the stack of old sectionals--and I couldn't just throw them out!

6 sectionals in total, of course I trimmed off the white areas and legends, a total height of about 8ft... includes the entire ATL sectional, the entire Cincinnati sectional, the South part of the Detroit sectional, and the North part of the CLT sectional.
Glad my roommate can't tell me to take it down now!

Nice!

Love making use of old charts like this. I had the whole country in my dorm; It went from the floor on one side, up and over the ceiling, and down almost to the other floor. (Wasn't all that practical for planning :D, but who cares?)

Another great use for them is wrapping presents. Unfortunately, I didn't think it through and kinda gave myself away during Secret Santa last year... opps :dunno:

Best dorm decorations ever. I'd take a picture of mine, but the roomie's asleep and it's dark in here.

You win!

How did you chase your roommate out. Never mind, I don't need to know
He went off to live with his "friend with benefits." Much better than the two of them living in my room... especially when we had a bunk bed and they had no concept of privacy---that got annoying when I was trying to sleep.

Very cool - now get a red pencil and start planning your trips!

Hahaha once I had to go pee in the middle of the night and I tripped over my roomie while he was banging his gf on the floor!

My old flight school had all the sectionals like that. I will probably do this for a man cave or garage some day.

I used to use French nautical charts for decoration, quite beautiful with elevation views of harbor entrances and such.

My motif in college was Budweiser beer posters. I didn't care for the beer (even on a college budget), but they had the best posters, which were handed out at different events for free.
