I was hoping you all would be able to give me some suggestions for a good song to use with my latest video for my family. This is a sample of pictures of Thanksgiving at the farm that I plan to use in a video I'm making. Last year I made a similar video for them of Thanksgiving at the farm using John Denver's song, Thank God I'm A Country Boy. It's hard to beat that one.

We had a bonfire, made S'mores, I gave a gazillion rides in the Citabria and Tom gave a few rides in the Skyhawk, we had some four-wheeling and bikin' going on as well. We had the turkey feast in the hangar.

Any suggestions for a lively, upbeat song? I don't have much in the way of country music in my music library, so I'm open to your ideas.

Thanks!

bonfires and stackin' hay/straw....<sigh> great pictures Diana, they brought back many good memories of my days on the horse farm.

I wish I could find the picture that my co-workers took of me doing paperwork on a picnic table outside the blacksmiths shop under the light of a full moon........good stuff, good memories.

OK, I did a little googling...

Louis Armstrong ~ "Wonderful World"

Steven Curtis Chapman ~ "More To This Life"

Bob Carlisle ~ "Butterfly Kisses"

Kool & The Gang ~ "Celebration"

Shania Twain ~ "Still the One"

Take Me Home Country Roads?

OK I'm bad at country songs... :dunno:

Stevie Ray Vaughan, "The House is a Rockin'"

"Out In The Country" by Three Dog Night
OMG! That was my first choice so far. No lie.

Thanks everyone! I've been checkin' out your suggestions. Ooops. Went to the hot tub and got all mellow.

How about Learning to Fly by Tom Petty?
What a great song. Actually, I used it on a video I made for my family doctor (Tom is giving him flight instruction). I took him for his first aerobatic ride. Tom shot a video of his flight and I made a little movie for him using that song.

Still checking everyone's suggestions with iTunes.

Didja get an email from me?

I'd never heard of this group before. Love that song. :)
They are big into the folk scene. I love their music, it is such a blend of old time, country, bluegrass, and modern stuff. It is a great song too. You may also like the Wailin' Jennies but I don't know of a song that would fit you video form them.

Diana, if you haven't selected a song: "It's A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
Scott, thanks for the suggestion. What a great song.

A friend suggested one that I've decided to use. "Standin' On The Rock" by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. :)

Thanks again everyone!
