Nav/Strobe Combo bulb????

Turn on once and it is a normal nav light. Off and on again within 3 seconds and it turns into a strobe. Does anyone have any firsthand info about this? Only for experimentals ????

Due to the fact it is cheap, simple and has a MTBF of 20,000 hours or so makes it totally unsuitable for certabirds.

I'm not sure how you would use this thing. You don't usually want to switch between position and anticollision.
