I noticed today a local tower has improved a procedure that I wrote about in an ASRS report. Does ASRS inform ATC when reports are filed concerning their facility? Or, do controllers or managers mine the ASRS database for reports mentioning their facility?

I noticed today a local tower has improved a procedure that I wrote about in an ASRS report. Does ASRS inform ATC when reports are filed concerning their facility? Or, do controllers or managers mine the ASRS database for reports mentioning their facility?

Yes and no. Controllers also use their own safety reporting mechanism called Air Traffic Safety Action Program. ATSAP. From those reports, our Event Review Committees (ERC's) report back to the facility with recommendations, if necessary.
