Anaheim 1, first race of 2016 tonight!

It's wide open this year, so much talent in the 450 class. Trey is fast, Stewart is fast, Eli is fast... anyone who qualified in the top 10 (and some just out of it) could win the race.

I'm saying though...

250
Cooper Webb
Christian Craig
Jessy Nelson

450
Eli Tomac
James Stewart
Kenny Roczen

Any other pilots eagerly awaiting the start of the mains tonight?

Quick "brush with Supercross fame" story...

I rode with Christian Craig, was it this past summer? He was kinda retired, and moved to MN. He taught a racing school I attended (just for fun, I don't really race, just ride for fun). I got to talk to him and ask him questions a lot.

When we were on track together... he passed me like I was standing still. I could see him a turn behind me, and then he'd be on me, and by, and gone, so fast... but the whole time, seeming like he was out for a country stroll (not looking like he's running ragged or anything, in total control).

He gave me some really helpful feedback. After I'd go through a section, I'd park next to him, we'd watch others, and he'd tell me what I did wrong.

fun times!

I've tried. I love all forms of racing, including snowmobile and boat racing. I just can't get into motorcycle racing of any kind.

I can't explain why...

Do you ride? It seems like motorcycle riders/enthusiasts are the main people who enjoy motorcycle racing... whereas car racing enthusiasts usually aren't car racers themselves (they can be, but the sport is appealing to a broader audience).

Just my casual observation based on no facts whatsoever.

It's cool, different strokes and all that, but I do wish our sport was more popular, so we'd have more tracks available.

Js7 is gonna have a bad head ache tomorrow

I used to ride, but not anymore. I do race cars, though, and my race car runs a motorcycle engine....

I mean no disrespect - I'm sure it is an amazing form of racing to do, but I just can't get into watching it. I wish your driver (racer?) the best.

Yeah I'm really bummed about Stewart. I hope he can come back soon. One can debate that maybe the move by Dungey wasn't the greatest (and I'm a Dungey fan).

Watching it slow... James is trying to avoid the line of the guy in front of him. He (I believe) took that "crazy" line, to get it turned, on it hard, get in front the leader and get away. Following the leader would have done nothing for him, so he's working it.

Dungey either didn't see James, and was focusing on the leader, or he did see James, and thought he could get it done, but couldn't. Maybe a little too soon to be diving up the inside from so far away, but hey, that's racing, and I'm sitting in my living room being a Monday-morning quarterback or whatever.

How about Peick and the punches for Friese? He was suspended for the next race as well and fined $5,000 from what I heard.

Freise had it coming....... Peick stock just went up 1000%.......

Kinda like the fist fight at the Daytona 500 years ago.... That one event got millions to watch NASCAR that would have never followed the sport before.... AMA should PAY Peick.. Not fine him...

im guessing frieze will be riding alittle different next couple of races. And I hope canard stays healthy, I think after his last few seasons he needs a new God. This current one he has isn't working in his favor.
