NA send iphone Voice Memo

I have a large (49mins) VM on my iphone4 that I want to move. I've tested it and it works fine.
I am offered the option to mail or message it. When I click mail, it produces a mail message with an m4a attached....but when sending it, there is a pause of a moment or so then the mail disappears but it does not appear in the addressee's inbox. Nor does it show in the phone's sent folder.
Tips on preserving, moving the file welcomed.

I've resorted to using Dropbox to save my VM outside my phone. Mine are quite large, about in line with yours.

I'm thinking that the email crashing is because the phone is running out of RAM to process the file.

So if I sign up for dropbox, it will appear as a send option?
Can DB be configured to private?

wait I have dropbox, and it is not appearing as an option to send a VM to. Gb of space available.

I was able to text a 'trimmed' portion (about 1/2) to my ipad.
How to I get the rest of the message out?
