ROFL. That just proved that ice fishing stupidity is world wide.

Last winter I was talking to some guy next to me at the counter of this greasy spoon about ice fishing. So he tells me that he's already been out (the lakes had just frozen over a couple of days prior), and that the fishing was great. Then I ask him if the ice wasn't still a bit thin. He replies that he has a "system" for getting out when he falls through. It turns out he goes through the ice at least once or twice a season!
