Was not the 4-bulb recessed fluorescent fixture with T-12 bulb the standard at one point? Recently even?

I am having a hard time locating these, even used ones - to supplement what we now have. (eyes getting old)

Maybe there is a lighting efficiency expert here that will tell me how much I can save by switching to T-8 fixtures. I have probably 75 of these in 4000sq feet.

Dave:

120, 240 or 277 VAC?

Also, are these 2' x 4' drop-ins?

2x4, 120v flush mount with the drop ceiling tiles havent examined install closely

Going to T-8's will save money but figure a new ballast into the cost. New electronic ballast can control (power) all 4 lamps. You may find some lamps at Home Depot for the old T-12's.

Too bad - 277s are easy to get, pretty much free.

I think that, by the time you re-ballast 'em, costs as much as buying new. Let me check in the morning.
