Need help identifying what bulb to buy for my hangar lights.
These are metal halide (Mercury vapor) I believe.
I can see several bulbs like these but the wattage ranges from 100-400. How can you tell the max watt rating for a fixture? The fixture has no info on the case and the bulb has no wattage markings.
BTW I recommend these for hangar use. Even at 28F they get up to speed quickly and make it daylight inside. Because of their origin, I have no way to id the fixtures, have no paperwork. No, not stolen!
Its the larger bulb of course...same base as a std incandescent bulb.
