What are some good computer discussion forums for an end user of modest technical knowledge?
(seems like my problems are continuous and the av forum is not the right place to be bothering people about computers!)

I really don't visit anything regularly. I find that if I run into a problem, Google tends to take me to the forum with the most relevant answer in most cases.

The only reason I was clueless... I couldn't think of a place for forums for non-techies...but now that I think about it, there are microsoft.* and comp.* USENET groups, which you can dip a toe in by using Google groups (read from non-specific to specific left to right):

The microsoft.public.* groups are sorta supported by Microsoft: (gee, only 328 groups)

The comp.* groups are part of the USENET free for all anarchy:

Google filters out most of the spam and crap to make USENET still useful.
