Is there an app which will tell me the charging power inputted to my idevice?
Ie I plug my iphone into my Scosche which advertises 2.4A.
Is it really performing as promised?
Or, I am charging the phone. Then I plug in my ipad to the other port on the charger....does the iphone charging power drop?

There are meters that display voltage and current that you can plug inline via usb.

That's cool. thanks George.
Was hoping the device itself could tell me.

I have this for a charging station I created. Allows charging of 8 devices at the same time, and the display shows similar info to the device @asicer linked.

There may be apps that could do that... Maybe...

However, I don't think they would tell you what you want. If your phone is charging at 1.5 amps, for example, that does NOT indicate that your Scosche adapter isn't putting out the rated current. All batteries have a curve to their charging, so they'll taper off as they get closer to full.

If you really want to see what's going on, the external meters above are probably the best bet. And now I have something new on my Christmas list too. ;)
