StraightTalk (my reseller of Verizon) cannot provide.
Can get VOIP (Googlevoice) when on wifi but would prefer cell voice and data service.

Any way to rig my iphone4 to buy short term service?
Get a "Canadian tracphone"?

Rats whistleout requires a sim card (my verizon has none, and I need specifically this phone with all its contacts)

Who do you get when you cal 611?...Strait Talk or Verizon?

I do this all the time on Verizon for one of my guys that travels internationally once in a while...we set up an international calling and data plan for whatever country that he is going to and they set it to automatically cancel after the end of the billing cycle. One billing cycle of the international plan is the cheapest way to go.

Call 611 on you phone and ask them directly...not the Strait Talk yahoos or the 800 numbers.

That is my first choice, except there would be serious hell to pay upon return, with large financial and other consequences. The joys of business owning.

T-Mobile does voice in Canada for free. May check with them on data availability. Should be free also.
