One of my FB group pages allows anyone to upload a file (it's a pdf I am trying for) but the other does not. (I am admin on both).
The 'allow' one has an Add File button but for some reason the other page does not.
I can click on More/Manage Tabs/Add or Remove Tabs but there is no option to insert an 'Add File' tab.
I have googled and FB says "just click the Add File tab"....which sadly does not exist and is nowhere to be found.
Several forums suggest others have the same problem.
But I know someone here has the answer.
Respectfully request restraint on posting 'That's another reason why I don't use FB'; not helpful.
or posting the FB instructions which I mentioned above & did not work; thanks.

That's why I never use FB.

I kid. I kid!

Can you verify that they are both Group pages? Could one of them be a business page? For example, if you click on the three dots (...) do you see options for things like "manage group" and "edit group settings" on both pages?

Another way to verify what you're seeing: go to the main page on your group. Look at the URL you're currently at. Does it start with https://www.facebook.com/groups/ ?

Google found this help center question that may be related: https://www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=10152828591811101

You could try opening the same page from either Firefox or Chrome browsers, assuming you're currently using internet explorer. I do that sometimes if I need to verify that what I'm seeing is what everyone else will see. It's a good "sanity check".

(multiple edits because that's the way I roll)

Thanks.
I don't see "..." on either.
Here are the pages:

can add files
https://www.facebook.com/groups/181528071899812/

https://www.facebook.com/TMNTG
cannot add files
TMNTG is a page, not a group. When a Facebook member goes to that page, they have an option to Like or Follow the page, but they can't Join the page. They can see events and timeline updates and pictures, etc. They can also leave posts and pictures or videos on the timeline. Admins of pages can see things like Insight to get an idea about who is visiting, what they like, etc.

The first link above is definitely a group. When FB members go there they can see a list of Group Members (the biggest indication it's a Group), and they can join (or request to join) the group. Another big difference between Pages and Groups is the ability to set the privacy options to Public, Closed or Secret. Pages don't have that, but Groups do.

You can't convert a Page to a Group, and vice-versa. If you want the functionality of the Group, you can create a new Group and then post a status update on the Page that there's a new Group for everyone that they can interact through.

For a sanity check click on this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/
At the top of that page (assuming you're logged on to Facebook) do you see TMNTG as a group that you manage? If you don't see it listed there, but you have admin rights to the page, then it is absolutely not a group.

Wish I had better news for you. :(

OK, so posting files/pdf is not possible.
I am left with screenshotting to make a jpg (poor quality image of the pdf) or typing out the details of the info onto FB.
Thank you for the detailed information!
