Looks like there was quite a x-wind.

The X-winds there can be really wild. I wrote earlier the reason for the Right pattern for only #25, the reactor dome and waste storage field being almost under a plane on the prior-legal Left pattern.

One time I came into #25 with what seemed to be normal conditions. 700 - 600 - 500 feet, situation normal. 400 - 300 -200, piece of cake. 100' WHAMMO, a screaming Right X-wind that hit with such force that it knocked me to the left. I climbed out of there in a Left 360 which took me right up and over the forbidden territory(the reactor dome, et cetera). The FBO radioed, "Hey, Jerry; you coming down to visit"?

"Not a chance; I'm out of here, back to Bowdoinham."
But if you need X-wind training, come to Wiscasset.
