I've had numerous 16 x 20 photo mounted enlargements hanging at a favorite restaurant for quite some time. While my CFI and I were there tonight, a first visit for him, one of the owners came over and said that one of the guests was interested in one of the pieces. "What's the price of it?" I told him and, several minutes later, he came back and laid a group of 20 dollar bills on my table. When we were leaving the restaurant the unknown(to me) buyer stopped me and said, "I love that shot. My folks have a home on Xxxxxxx's Cove. Might you be able to get some aerial shots of their property?" "Send me an email; we'll discuss."

But it got more interesting. Earlier, the owner's wife told us that Bath Iron Works will be christening the USS Zumwalt(see representative photos) in Xxxxxxx. "Mrs. Zumwalt will be dining here on Xxxxxxx XX. Might you be able to get some of your typical shots of the christening ceremonies?"

[EDIT] What I really want to get are aerials when that sucker is cruising down the Kennebec River on its first trip to the ocean.

I had a couple of Uncles that worked at BIW. We would get invites for launches, watching them slip down the ways, or slide sideways into the river.

Great to see BIW is still building Navy ships.

Bill: You being from the area, I'm sure you've been in J R Maxwell's. Tomorrow I'll take another picture there to fill the empty space.

The big blue thing that, people driving across the Sagadahoc Bridge probably wonder what's in it, not much was in the Dry Dock when I peeked at it.

Not too many moments before I reached BIW there was this other popular place.

My brother said he went over the bridge yesterday and the Zumwalt looked pretty complete.
