Mystery Aircraft Quiz #1

I've collected some photos of little-known production or prototype GA aircraft; just right for a quiz series. Some of these will be easy, some not so easy. When somebody gets one right, I'll put up another one.

OK, here goes with #1. Only a few of these were built in the late 1940's; but in the late 1990's a start-up company tried unsuccessfully to market an updated version of this design.

What is the airplane in the picture? Extra credit: What was the recent version to have been called?

You have the old and new company names right; but what were the model names?

It's a Luscomb 11A Sedan. I forget what they were going to call the reincarnation of it.

Right on. The new version was to have been the Model 11E Spartan (photo below).

The design of the Sedan was based in part on comments collected in a survey conducted by Luscome of the Flying Farmers organization.

One of those was based at a nearby airport a few years. The owner stripped it to bare metal and then spray painted it with Krylon...no joke.
