Dave Taylor and his friend Johnny, paid me a visit on Sunday to check out the RV9A project. They gave the project a good once over and even bought lunch at one of the local hamburger joints(thanks again Dave). I really enjoyed the visit, tho as usual forgot the pictures.:( It was great to see Dave again! Me thinks Dave is secretly trying to trade the Bellanca in for an RV:D

Warning to all, unless you want to own one, don't ever take a ride in one!

Yes, said he had done a lot of work recently. Either that or he flew from Marfa with the gear out in the breeze:rofl:

I have it on personal knowledge that it is fixed- I saw it diving out of the west Texas sun! That, and I've flown in it since.

You can't tempt him with an RV.

    But dangle a Cri-Cri his way... :D

oh wait, that wasn't what I getting at (I almost never point
out spelling errors - log/splinters and such). I was wondering
if your warning referred to the Bellanca...

Don has a masterpiece on his hands folks - show quality work. This is the work of a experienced craftsman - you sure you haven't done a few already?
Nice job Don, and thanks for letting us pop in.

You are too kind Dave. Nope, this is the first airplane, but I have done lots of other projects which helped prepared my skills for aircraft construction. The wife just says I am reduculously, hopelessly, anal.
Hope to drop in on you in Marfa sometime soon.

Here is a picture of the current status.

Obviously photoshopped. Nobody has a shop that clean.
