It's official, I'm now an aircraft owner! Probably shouldn't have bought it but you only live once. It's a Challenger 2 EAB with 2 seats and a Rotax 503. Now I just have to build a hangar and it will live 100' from my back door.

Now I can log some more hours at $10/hour instead of $100.

Sorry the pictures aren't great but I'll get more when the weather gets nicer.

You'll put yer eye out!

Just kidding. Looks fun.

Good looking plane. Take more pictures when you get it up in the air.

Neat! Enjoy. Wish my plane were 100 feet from my back door. Should would save a bunch of money.

Very nice, I know you will have lots of fun with your new TOY..:)

Watched one go through KFEP in Jan. going from Central WI. to ST. Louis. Pilot was all bundled up and hoping for warmer weather. You will like the closeness!

I have been shopping for something like same...
How far did you have to go to buy it?
I see ads for planes... I like ,,,, 2000 mi. away... often....
How many hours,, AF/ engine,,, I worry over 250 engine..
Id like to land on water,, so look at Buckaneers too.
I wish to fly my best friend, but he is Hugh,,,
So I would settle for a single,,, like a Gull...
Tell us about the panel.
Im sooo happy for you, and I wish you safe and happy flying!

Some day,, I hope to make a post like yours....

Does it fly?
The previous owner flew it when I looked at it but we had to remove the wings for transport. Now I need a hanger, training and conditional inspection.

This particular plane just happened to be the right one in the right place at the right time. I found it on Barnstormers about 240 miles from home. The AF has 1400 hours on it but looks beautiful. The engine has 200 SMOH but it came with a second engine that I can rebuild at my own speed.

Basically it has no panel. Only an airspeed indicator and engine monitor. My plan is to mount my ipad or phone and use Garmin pilot for a basic panel.

Something like a Dynon D2 would be nice to have. They aren't expensive either.

I would love to have one of those but money is tight now that I bought a plane and have to build a hangar. :(
