Ed that means you're not drunk enough.

All I got out of it was some Brazil nut asking about a scanner and sending me kisses! I'm easily entertained though, what can I say. :)

FWIW, based on my observations during a recent trip to Brazil, "kisses" is a pretty common part of saying goodbye (both verbally and physically), and is sometimes even used with strangers. Much of the rest of dude's email could be chalked up to English-as-a-(distant)-second language.

Maybe a little slack is in order? Public ridicule might be a tad harsh, even if dude was a little over the top.

+1. As a Miami resident, I am pretty used to broken English. Though I agree that it looks like a come-on. So what is wrong with that?

Maybe it was just one of those awful Portuguese -> English Google translations and kisses and greetings mean the same thing? :dunno: Ronaldindho is a big Brazilian Soccer star, but Ronaldinho or soccer mean NOTHING here in America, so his attempt to impress you fell short. The wink did give me just the slightest feeling of creepiness, though. Proceed cautiously, it could all be innocent.

I'm still trying to figure out what *I* want to be when - or, should I say, IF - I grow up.
