This little guy showed up down the street with his sibling. You can get pretty close and it won't flinch. About the size of a small terrier.

Had the privilege of watching one that young a few years back. It laid down in the middle of a two-tracker. Stayed there for about five minutes.

That is where momma told him to stay. We have several that hang around our house and as a "former" hunter I just enjoy seeing them graze and watching the little ones grow up. :D

Q. What did Homer Simpson say when momma deer charged at him?

A. Doe!

Cute!
And here I was ready to chastise you about your spelling.

Cute critter.

I don't believe I've seen any little ones here yet this spring. There are two yearlings (sans momma) who come around to chat pretty much every evening, though.

Our you hearing voices, Rich? :D

Purple board? How many colors of boards are there out there??
Blue is here, RED is AOPA, PURPLE is The Purple Board (Blue and Red), and Yellow is EAA. There's a bunch more forums out there but not referenced by color. You could always use the POS board, Beechtalk, and more than a few other aircraft specific ones.
It's more interesting the development of the Blue board. Grown out of the loss of a less sophisticated AOPA forum. Why AOPA changed the format, why they then shut it down, and how they agonized over reactivating it.
Overall, I would not be at all surprised if it did die away. I don't think I've ever read more than 3 posts there without seeing animosity, rancor, or direct assaults on individuals.
It's obvious (when reading AOPA) that manners are no longer taught and the anonymity of electronic communications turns off the discretion switch.
