Is that a quart of oil strapped to the firewall ?

I have never seen that before.... is that a common practice ? I suppose a lot of planes do not have the space under the cowling to store oil, but certainly the 140-180 Cherokees do. Interesting.

You can just carry a case in the baggage bay like I did when it was using a quart every 2-3 hours.
