Moxie's Birthday

It goes without saying that she was in our thoughts yesterday, today, and every day.
 
I still have the 2 messages on my cell phone she sent me during OSH a few years ago.

I wish I still had the recording I made outside the White House one year when she was teaching me how to swear in Greek! :)

That makes me really want to save the recording I have of Tim singing along to the car radio during a song. It was so funny.

I never knew Moxie, but I still fly with the duck and tell the story all the time about her (as much as I know which is not much).

I changed the duck's name to "lucky ducky".

I knew her, but nowhere near as much as I would have liked to!
 
I have the certificate she sent me that made me OOTG(One Of The Girls). It was a result of having planned/arranged a Babe-in here in Maine. Blackdog and Tom drove from Wisconsin, Jill Tallman was stymied by an east coast full of fog, so didn't come.

It was the highest honor a "frog" (guy-type pilot) could earn in the Babes. Wear it proudly.

I only met Moxie once or twice at Babe-ins and mostly knew her through the (now defunct) Babes board. Even so, I miss her.

Maverick (Jean) knew her a lot better.

I wish we could have made the Moxie Memorial Dinner at the White House this year, but Mother Nature decreed that it was not to be. Another time, for sure.

Did her plaque inscription get unveiled this year, or is it still being worked on?

Yes, her plaque was unveiled, and the Aeroshell T-6s dis a missing man formation. Missa posted a picture of the rubbing she did on FB. I thought it was here too, maybe under the OSH thread.
