Something I didn't recall was the two half-football like objects on each side of the throttle quadrant. Any clue what those are?

Those might be handrests for a trackball on the other side which is hidden in the picture.

Good theory. They seem awful big. I wish the program would allow a view a bit forward than it allows.

I found a better picture of the trackball. We have something similar in the Cessna.
