I just booked my trip to Athens next month. I got an automatic email in my work in box telling me what shots I should have for the trip. Imagine my surprise when this was one of the choices:
Hepatitis B

Recommended for health care workers and anyone who may have a new sexual partner, share needles or get a tattoo or body piercing.
Do they know something I don't??

CDCs "Yellow Book" table for Uganda, where I was recently:

  1. "Routine" -- measles/mumps/rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT) vaccine, etc.
  2. Yellow Fever
  3. Hepatitis A
  4. Hepatitis B
  5. Typhoid
  6. Meningococcal
  7. Rabies
  8. Polio
And (for Scott), for Greece:

  1. "Routine" -- measles/mumps/rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT) vaccine, etc.
  2. Hepatitis B
